About This Role

Summary of the role
To Support the Data Protection Manager/Lead with all UK GDPR/ Data Protection Act (2018) requirements that may be applicable for our clients, shared services and or Diligenta.

This role can be based in either Bristol, Basingstoke, or Peterborough DG offices.

What you’ll be doing
  • L2 Advice and guidance to provide DP opinion on DP related activities such as DPIAs, 3rd party supplier Due Diligence, Breaches and incidents, BRAC etc from shared services, and or regulatory Change teams, to provide recommendations to DP Manager/DPO and or our clients in respect of DP risks.
  • Assist in the review of new policies, guides and procedures owned by the Data Protection team to ensure they remain up-to-date and relevant to executives, senior management and employees, ensuring any new regulatory changes are considered and included.  
  • Identify training and awareness gaps in the wider business and provide relevant DP coaching on job specific training. 
  • Attend and participate in all relevant internal and external stakeholder meetings, presenting reports to develop and maintain strong and robust relationships. 
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all Controller/Processor responsibilities for the Relationship Management Team, Migration Team and the Controller Team.
  • Identify Data Protection risks and/or issues and explore possible solutions and or mitigating controls for implementation. Update procedures and processes where required. 
  • To provide assurance of business adherence to Data Protection requirements using a risk-based approach when making decisions.
  
  
What we’re looking for
  • BCS The Chartered Institute of IT Certification in Data Protection or other qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years recent experience in Diligenta.
  • Knowledge of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act (2018)
  • Experience of working in a project environment or project management.
  • Sound technical generic knowledge of the ICO and/or FCA requirement.
  • Sound knowledge of business processes, financial products and requirements for relevant business units(s).
  • Ability to review and analyse management information and provide clear and concise report writing.
  • Able to work independently, proactively with minimum supervision and display communicative, pragmatic and methodical approach to all work.
