About This Role

• Identify and interpret new legislation and regulations that impact Standard Life products and processes initially, widening scope to Phoenix products over time. Produce summary documents and present at monthly Phoenix Product Management and legislative sub-committee forum, to meet Diligenta’s obligations
• Raise internal change requests and progress through to implementation
• Identify and resolve any existing business exposure making Diligenta and Phoenix managements aware of risks and issues
• Influence business to understand technical implications of business initiatives
• Support Senior Managers in decision making by ensuring they have full knowledge of the technical risks and impact to Diligenta and Phoenix
• Oversee products and processes to minimise risk of failing to comply with HMRC and TPR rules
• Work closely with Senior Consultants in PXCA and Heritage to ensure consistency and sharing of best practice cross accounts
• Support technical colleagues to ensure referrals, project and CI requests are completed accurately, when support is requested
• Review, provide feedback and approve BRDs and mock ups produced by the change team for all change requests, from all sources (compliance, technical, client and BAU Ops)
• Involvement with specific projects/migrations, as required, from a technical perspective
• Liaise with legal and contracts as required, when issues are identified that impact Diligenta and Phoenix

• FPC or equivalent qualified
• Good knowledge and understanding of product legislation, HMRC and TPR regulations and FCA guidelines.
• Detailed knowledge of all Standard Life products
• Extensive industry knowledge
• Excellent analytical skills
• Proven demonstration of a practical and pragmatic approach to identifying and resolving problems
• Excellent communication skills at client and Senior management level
• Proven experience in a Senior technical role
• Good knowledge of Standard Life products and industry knowledge
• Understanding of taxation
• A willingness to study and complete AFPC is desirable
