About This Role

Summary of the role

The Data Office is a newly formed function within Diligenta that has been created specifically to oversee data use, governance and control within the organisation, as well as to grow and evolve the use of data providing a better journey for our clients and their customers.

Delivering excellent customer journeys is core to Diligenta’s ‘One Diligenta’ model strategy and is key to Building “Purpose and Pride”. Responsibility for and governance around Data in our Organisation is a key part of this, as we are committed to providing and using relevant data to achieve the right outcomes for our clients, their customers and our colleagues.
The Data Governance analysts work with the Data Governance Manager to design and implement processes, policies, controls and systems that direct the use of Data within the company.

They will contribute to the building and implementation of the Data governance frameworks that will give the assurances that we are storing, processing, analysing and retaining data in the correct way across the organisation.

Please be aware that the role is available in the following locations: Edinburgh & Peterborough.

What you’ll be doing
  • Work closely with Information Security, Internal Audit and the DPO office to ensure that our governance is relevant and observable
  • Help to manage and protect the organisations Data assets
  • Support the Data Governance manager in response to audits, new data governance requirements and initiatives
  • Provide advice and recommendations on Data governance, as well as best practices across Diligenta
  • Provide impact analysis of processes from a Data governance standpoint
  • Present findings and recommended actions on analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Implement business data governance frameworks and guidance
  • Create and publish Data governance related policies and processes
  • Define Data quality metrics
  • Monitor Data Quality and other metrics
  • Provide Data governance impact analysis
  • Support Meta Data management
  • Work to support the DG manager on all governance issues
  • Implement the data quality and management platform
What we’re looking for
  • Educated up to at least A-level or equivalent standards
  • Solid understanding of data governance concepts
  • Analytical skills
  • Familiar with data privacy regulations such as GDPR
  • Experience working with UK GDPR and DP regulation
  • Experience working in an FCA regulated environment
  • Experience creating policies and processes
  • Experience working within a similar in data governance or privacy
  • Project Management qualification is desirable
  • DAMA CDMP qualifications are desirable
  • Experience of working governance tools such as Collibra, Erwin, Purview, informatica would be beneficial
  • Experience working in the UK L&P market would be beneficial
  • Experience working with a modern tech stack would be beneficial
