Summary of the role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Underwriter to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a keen eye for risk and a passion for making informed decisions that drive business success.

As an Underwriter, you’ll assess applications for insurance coverage, evaluate risk factors, and determine appropriate terms and premiums. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our portfolio while delivering excellent service to clients and brokers.

What you’ll be doing

Evaluate insurance applications and supporting documents to assess risk
Determine coverage terms, premiums, and policy conditions
Collaborate with brokers, agents, and internal teams to ensure accurate underwriting decisions
Monitor and manage existing policies for renewal and adjustment
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and underwriting best practices

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in underwriting (personal, commercial, or specialty lines)
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Proficiency in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CII or equivalent) are desirable
